The Bangalore Christadelphians have been operating the Bartimaeus school for the blind for more than fifteen years. This project began in a garage, and has since grown into a school with more than 30 students.
A generous bequest from a UK sister made it possible for us to purchase the new school building which provides us with the wonderful facility from which we now operate.
Our main operating expenses have always been funded from the UK, with a fundraising committee raising the funds from brethren and sisters there.
Unfortunately, after experiencing stable levels of donations for the last five or more years, as of this January we have experienced a sudden and unexpected drop in donations. This has coincided with some urgent repairs and increased costs for many of our basic supplies.
We are in urgent need of additional funding, and we are requesting your assistance.
