On 10th November 2019 the Bartimaeus Committee resolved to adopt a Safeguarding Policy for the protection of students studying at the Bartimaus Centre. A copy of the policy can be found here.
Bartimaeus recognises its responsibility to protect and promote the welfare of the all children and vulnerable adults within the legal framework of Indian law. It is important that we create a safe environment within which young people can thrive and adults can work with the security of clear guidance.
We will not tolerate any form of abuse by anyone working within the Centre. We are aware that many are the victims of different kinds of abuse and that they can be subjected to many social factors that have an adverse impact upon their lives – including, but not limited to, verbal, physical and emotional abuse, domestic violence, substance misuse, prostitution and ritualistic abuse.
